Ingredients:
250 gms Overnight Soaked Chickpea or Kabuli Chana
Vegetable Oil as required
8 Burger Buns
Bread Crumbs
2 Onions chopped + 1 Onion rings
1 Tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
2 Green Chillies
½ Tsp Red Chilly Powder
¼ Tsp Turmeric Powder
½ Tsp Coriander Powder
½ Tsp Pepper Powder
½ Tsp Garam Masala Powder
Grated Cheese as required
Tomato Ketchup
Little Coriander Leaves
Salt as per taste
Method of Cooking:
1. Coarsely grind the soaked chickpeas (Kabuli Chana).
2. Heat a pan, add oil, and fry chopped onions until they turn translucent.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry until the raw smell disappears.
4. Add cooked onions, ginger-garlic paste, 2 green chilies, ½ tsp red chili powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp pepper powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, grated cheese, Coriander leaves, Salt as per taste and mix everything well with the coarsely ground chickpeas.
5. Grease your hands with oil and form the mixture into round tikkis.
6. Dust the tikkis with bread crumbs.
7. Shallow fry the tikkis in oil until both sides are golden and crispy.
8. Cut the burger bun in half. Place the chickpea tikki between the buns, add some masala-sliced onions and spread tomato ketchup on one side of the bun.
